Our story

From a small workshop in Şile to wholesale shelves worldwide

Eliş Şile Bezi Tekstil was founded in 1999 by Hasan Kayan. We weave, finish, and distribute authentic Şile cloth — Turkey's heirloom natural cotton — to dealers and boutiques across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.

About us

We started in 1999 as a manufacturer producing for our own atelier. As the designs caught on with traders, we moved into wholesale and built a full B2B program — weaving, garment production, finishing, and door-to-door logistics for natural Şile cloth clothing (the fabric international buyers know as Turkish cotton gauze, muslin or double gauze).

Today a team of more than 150 people runs the operation: seven retail stores of our own, close to a thousand stockists across all 81 provinces of Türkiye, and exports to the United States, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, France, Australia, Japan, Romania and beyond. Alongside our own label we produce OEM and private-label collections for brands abroad.

Our atelier in Ümraniye, Istanbul adds roughly a hundred new styles to the collection every season and keeps investing in fabric R&D — without letting go of the hand-loom character that makes Şile cloth what it is.
